Paul and Stefanie got Married! 4-13-13

I am so happy for my little brother Paul and his new wife Stefanie. I am thankful that I was able to attend their sealing in the Logan temple and for Seth helping me make that happen. I love the temple sealing with it’s incredible power and elegant  simplicity. The day was a bit blustery and rainy but weather in Logan in April is open to anything. After the sealing they had a delicious luncheon at the Bluebird Café on Main Street. That evening their was a reception at the “Aztec Church” not the “Toaster Church” which I sadly misguided Nora and James to at first. Thankfully Logan has ZERO traffic and we were able to make it to the correct church in five minutes.  I enjoyed sitting around and visiting with my siblings that evening. I wish my kids had been around to play with their cousins but being solo for the weekend was very relaxing!

I always feels so much nostalgia any time I visit Logan. Seth and I lived their for two years as newlyweds, students and new parents. There were so many fond memories made in Logan that I have often dreamed we would end up living there permanently someday.

I also said goodbye to my childhood home while I was in Utah. My parents had sold it and moved a week after the wedding. This is the home that my parents brought me home from the hospital to. This was the home I left when I turned eighteen and the home Seth proposed to me in. So many memories!! I loved the clothing shoot and the bed in the closet (both made great hiding spots). It’s a great move for my parents and I know there will be many more memories made in their new house.

Adelaide turns 11! 4-12-13

I flew to Utah for my little brother Paul’s wedding and it just so happen that by flying in the day before the wedding meant that I was in Utah for my niece Adelaide’s 11th birthday. I left my home at an insanely early hour and even with one layover in Denver I was in Utah by 10:30am!! Nora and the two baby boys picked me up and we made a lunch stop at Chick-Fil-A and a stop at Walmart for supplies. Adelaide was having her birthday party that evening with 9 other girls and there was a craft, cake, and game to ready for the event. We spent a delightful afternoon together cutting and pasting (if you know Nora, there is ALWAYS a project going on that involves cutting and pasting) and listening to the Mair kids taste in music. I still am singing Just Give me a Reason by P!nk due to the non-stop repeats! Donna and Monica dropped by to add to the fun. The party was a success with the owl cake, owl craft,  “pedicures by Sharon”, and the “candy unwrap game” which will be repeated at one of my kids birthday parties. I love Addie and it’s such a joy to see what a kind and beautiful young woman she is turning into.
