We celebrated our 11th anniversary on a rainy Saturday similar to the actual day we were married. We had arranged for a babysitter so we could go kayaking on Lake Needwood and then to dinner. Sadly our babysitter had to cancel the morning of and I couldn’t find an alternate. We knew the rain would begin in the afternoon so we put Conrad down for a nap around noon and went to Lake Needwood for some Kayaking. We had had a bad storm a few weeks before and they were still doing repairs so they weren’t renting any boats. We settled for a 2 1/2 mile hike around the lake. It was beautiful and deserted. The rain came shortly after we finished and we returned to happy children. We went to dinner as a family that evening and then the next week went to a delicious Italian restaurant called “Il Pizzico” by ourselves. Yeah for 11 years of marriage and eternity to go!
