On Wednesday evening the news reports were forecasting a foot of snow for that night. We also found this quote in reference to East Coast snow storms: “Another epic dusting of biblical proportions!” This epitomizes what makes living here with extreme weather so fun. Everyone freaks out! It’s the top story on the news and the only thing they report on. School is always canceled or at least delayed. It’s not, “ok look, more snow” it’s “LOOK! It’s snowing again, how crazy is that??!! This storm actually turned out not to be over hyped and was the real deal. We went to sleep with a few flakes and woke up with well over a foot of snow. It was heavy wet snow so we couldn’t even open our storm door to go out the front door. Oh…the shoveling…so much shoveling!! After the snow ended it actually warmed up and turned into a beautiful sunny day. Seth and I took turns with the shovel and the kids tunneled through large snow drifts. With school being canceled on Friday as well, my kids have had a total of SEVEN snow days.
Conrad didn’t get to play outside until a day later. That morning he found my mascara and turned himself into a pirate, arrr.
